PRINCIPLES & ACTION PILLARS
Fostering equity: not an option but a necessity!
At LAUDACE, we spearhead transformative change towards achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our mission is to empower people from historically marginalised groups, foster economic growth, and reduce the inequities they face. By doing so, we also actively contribute to the realization of SDGs 4, 5, 8, 10 and 16, creating a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
OUR 9 PRINCIPLES
-
We strive to foster a workplace culture of intersectional equity. We recognize that our intersecting identities and experiences shape our perspectives, and that true equity requires acknowledging and addressing the unique challenges faced by different people. By prioritizing intersectionality, we aim to create an inclusive and safe environment where all employees can thrive and contribute to our shared success
-
We recognize that neurological differences are an essential part of human diversity. We strive to create a work environment that welcomes and embraces all neurodivergent individuals. By fostering neuroinclusivity, we are able to unlock the potential of every team member and enhance our collective success. We are committed to providing accommodations, support, and resources to ensure that all of our employees can thrive.
-
We are committed to being actively anti-racist and dismantling systemic racism in all forms. We recognize that racism intersects with other forms of oppression, and we strive to center the experiences and voices of those who have been historically marginalized. By creating an inclusive and equitable workplace culture, we believe we can drive positive change within our company and beyond.
-
We embrace the power of courage in driving our commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive workplace. We believe that it takes courage to challenge the status quo, dismantle systemic barriers, and create a more inclusive culture. We encourage everyone to show up authentically and courageously engage in challenging conversations to learn and grow. Our aim is to create a safe and supportive space where each individual can feel seen, heard, and valued, and where everyone can thrive regardless of their background or identity.
-
We recognize that self-advocacy is a crucial component of creating an equitable workplace. We empower people in the workforce, particularly those from marginalized communities, to advocate for themselves and their needs, and we actively listen and respond to their voices. Through fostering an environment of self-advocacy, we can ensure that everyone has a fair and equal opportunity to succeed and thrive in their careers.
-
We believe in transparency as a key component of intersectional equity in the workplace. We strive to create an environment where open communication and honest feedback are valued and encouraged, and where all employees feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. By prioritizing transparency, we aim to build trust and foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging for all.
-
We believe that creating a workplace that values psychological safety is crucial for fostering a culture of intersectional equity. We recognize that people from all backgrounds and identities should feel empowered to bring their full selves to work without fear of judgment or retaliation. Drawing inspiration from Amy Edmonson's research on psychological safety, we aim to create a space where women feel comfortable taking risks, speaking their minds, and contributing to the collective success of the company. By prioritizing psychological safety, we can build a workplace culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
-
We believe that creating a workplace culture of purposeful joy is critical to promoting the well-being and success of every team member. We recognize that joy is an essential component of a fulfilling and balanced work environment, and we are committed to fostering a culture that embraces and celebrates historically marginalised folks’ diverse experiences and perspectives. We strive to create a joyful workplace that inspires creativity, innovation, and excellence in all that we do.
-
We believe that allyship is crucial for creating an equitable and inclusive workplace. We recognize that allyship from an intersectional lens requires actively seeking to understand and dismantle systemic oppression and privilege, and consistently advocating for marginalized groups. By fostering a culture of allyship, we can build a community that supports and empowers historically marginalised groups to thrive and reach their full potential.
We embody our 9 Principles in all our efforts and translate them into our 3 action pillars.
OUR 3 ACTION PILLARS
ADVOCATE
We are sensitive to social injustice, and we will do everything in our power to proactively amplify the voices of historically marginalised folks, particularly those who sit at the intersections of race, gender, or neurodiversity. We will gather in community to learn, grow and consistently challenge the status quo.
EDUCATE
Information sharing is our love language and a critical necessity in dismantling systemic inequities in the workplace. Through transparent and engaged educational propositions and thought leadership, we aim to lead people, institutions and communities towards more inclusive and safe workplace cultures and practices.
EMPOWER
We embody self-advocacy and are committed to instilling courage in folks from historically marginalised backgrounds to boldly stand up for themselves, tool themselves for success and effectively THRIVE in their careers and lives.
