July is filled with chances to speak up and act, with celebrations like South Asian Heritage Month, Disability Pride Month, and Emancipation Day. This is why we've chosen Allyship as the central theme for this month.
We are taking things easier in the summer to rest and recalibrate for September. The Courageous Conversations Series will be on hold until then, but you can find us at the events listed below and check out what we were up to last month.
Celebrating milestones!
10/06 MSDUK Business Opportunity, Leonardo Royal Hotel (London, UK)
Axelle successfully pitched our "Courageous Conversations" series at the MSDUK Business Opportunity event as part of Cohort 4 of the MSDUK accelerator. LAUDACE was chosen as one of the 10 50 companies to showcase our work to global corporate giants such as IBM, Randstad, JLL, and others. We also received support from Paloma Marin and Lushentha Naidoo from ESDP, who came specifically to support LAUDACE as the only European acceleration company presenting alongside their UK peers.
We are confident about this growing collaboration with MSDUK and ESDP, which has already produced positive results.
28/06 | Omek Summit 2024, Tolhuistuin (Amsterdam)
We’re pleased to share that our founder, Axelle Ahanhanzo, received the inaugural Bicultural Achiever of the Year award at the Omek Summit: The Era of the Bicultural. This recognition reflects our dedication to making LAUDACE a symbol of inspiration and progress for historically marginalized communities and their allies.
In addition to this significant accomplishment, Axelle participated in a panel discussion on demystifying neurodivergence alongside Karim El Oteify and Marcia Goddard. The panel, skillfully moderated by Salmaan Sana, delved into the complex challenges faced by individuals who navigate both the realms of being Afrodiasporic and neurodivergent.
We thank Omek for their unwavering support and for providing us with a platform to elevate our voices.
25/06-27/06 | DEI workshop on Anti-racism for Coalition PLUS (Casablanca, Morocco)
We joined Coalition Plus, an international AIDS NGO, on their annual off-site for an interactive half-day workshop on “Deconstructing Racism.” Together, participants engaged in various activities that enabled us to zoom into the following themes: (1) decolonization in the aid sector, (2) identity, power, and intersectionality, (3) unpacking biases, and (4) allyship at work. The session was highly immersive and reflexive, which participants met with enthusiasm and curiosity.
We are very excited to continue this collaboration with Coalition PLUS and are keen to bring more experience-sharing and reinforce their appetite for anti-racism action and change.

03/07 | Tackling Bias - NN Women in IT @ Nationale Nederlanden (Amsterdam)
LAUDACE has been invited to speak at an exclusive event with Nationale Nederlanden’s Women in IT ERG. We gave a keynote on Tackling Bias through Recognising Intersectionality. The event aimed to empower women working in IT within NN, a leading financial organization. Participants where invited to reflect on their identities and the importance of cultivating emotional intelligence to become more inclusive and better allies.
05/07 | DNNL Social Enterprise Launchpad @ Amazon NL (Amsterdam)
We’re joining the Dutch New Narratives Lab and its extended network at Amazon’s HQ to celebrate 11 social enterprise founders in the program. They will pitch their ventures and share critical asks for their next growth stage.
This program was made possible by Social Enterprise NL and Google.org and represented a source of hope and support for founders with a migration background in the Dutch entrepreneurial ecosystem.
We’re keen to connect with fellow social enterprises and funders at this event.
12/07 | Rijksmuseum NEXT Garden Party with Ten Women (Amsterdam)
As a member of TEN Women, LAUDACE will attend the exclusive Rijksmuseum NEXT Garden Party! This spectacular event will take place on July 11th and will be set against the stunning backdrop of the Rijksmuseum’s beautiful gardens.
TEN helps entrepreneurial women grow their network and support each other in business. They host networking events where women deeply connect, including playful workshops, wellness classes, and transformational masterclasses.
